About the estate
The Château Font Mars estate is a historical winery located in the Languedoc region, with a family history in viticulture dating back to 1679 and to Languedoc since 1864. The vineyards cover 55 contiguous hectares facing the Mediterranean Sea and feature fossilized dinosaur eggs. The soils are divided into three distinct types: marine Pliocene in the south, fluvial formations along the Nègue-Vaques river in the west, and clay-limestone soils in the northeast. The wines of the estate reflect this protected Mediterranean environment. The production falls under the AOC Picpoul de Pinet as well as IGP Pays d'Oc, Vin de Département, and Vin des Collines de la Moure denominations.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Malbec and Viognier.
