About the estate
The Château de Cots estate cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards located between Bayon sur Gironde and Gauriac in the Côtes de Bourg region. The vineyards are situated on clay-limestone soils as well as plots with clay and red gravel with an ideal south-southwest exposure on hillside slopes. The winery operates traditionally and organically with cover cropping, ploughing, and green manures, holding organic certification by Ecocert since 1999 and Demeter certification since 2020. The grapes are processed in an underground cellar featuring ancestral concrete vats, and the wines are aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months.
