About the estate
The Chateau Monichot estate is located in Tauriac within the Bordeaux region of France in the Côtes de Bourg appellation. Historical records indicate that a vineyard has existed on the site since the 1700s, with the property now covering 15 hectares mostly in a single block surrounding the chateau. The soils are predominantly composed of limestone and clay, perfectly suited for the cultivation of Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery operates as an organic vineyard, avoiding the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides. Influenced by the Gironde estuary and the local microclimate, the estate produces wines characterized by good acidity, elegant tannins, and spicy notes.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
