Château d'Oupia

About the estate

The Château d'Oupia estate manages twenty-two hectares of vineyards within the AOC Minervois appellation on the foothills of the Black Mountain. The history of the property dates back to the twelfth century, with the buildings having changed hands several times over the centuries. The terrain features four distinct soil types divided into six separate units that are vinified individually. The vineyards are planted with five typical Languedoc grape varieties, including old carignan vines with deep root systems. Vinification is conducted traditionally without new oak or fining agents in order to preserve the specific character of each parcel.
