About the estate
The Celler Cooperatiu d’Artés looks back on a history of over 115 years, which began in 1908 with the foundation of the Sindicat Agrícola d’Artés. Based in Artés in Catalonia, the cooperative currently unites more than 90 agricultural members and produces still and sparkling wines under the Pla de Bages and Cava designations. In addition to the traditional Picapoll variety, the estate cultivates international grapes as well as the historical local varieties Mandó and Sumoll. Following a partial collapse of the building in 2015, the new Espai Artium was constructed to serve as a meeting place and wine tourism hub.
The eno directory lists 10 wines, mostly from Picapoll. Export markets include Belgium and Germany.
