About the estate
The Caves Avinyó estate is a family-run business managed in the fourteenth generation, with roots dating back to the sixteenth century. Following the historical challenges of the late nineteenth century in the Penedès region, the vineyards were replanted and are now cultivated using one hundred percent organic farming methods with estate-grown grapes exclusively. The winery follows a philosophy of complete self-vinification and released its first Cava Avinyó to the market in 1982, maintaining a minimum ageing period of eighteen months.
The eno directory lists 11 wines, mostly from Cabernet Sauvignon.
