About the estate
The family estate Cave La Chapelle looks back on a history of over 75 years in Salgesch in the Valais and is managed by the Cina brothers. The name derives from the small white chapel that serves as the landmark of the wine-growing village and is also featured in the winery's logo. The estate includes the eastern vineyards above the village on the Domaine Balmen, a south-facing slope characterized by limestone soils with views of the Rhône and the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park. Old, gnarled vines of the Pinot Noir and Cornalin grape varieties thrive in these plots. The traditional winery relies on nature-respecting viticulture and traditional methods in winemaking to produce wines with origin from the Valais.
The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Cornalin.
