About the estate
The historic Castello La Leccia estate is located in Castellina in Chianti in Tuscany and has been documented in historical sources since 1077. Following changing ownership over the centuries and an acquisition by the Daddi family in 1920, the property was taken over by the Swiss Sonderegger family in 2018. On the organically managed agricultural estate, great importance is attached to environmental protection and respect for nature. The grapes for the Chianti Classico DOCG come from four distinct vineyards and are harvested and vinified separately using indigenous yeasts. The subsequent aging takes place in a combination of concrete vats, oak casks, tonneaux, and barriques.
