About the estate

The Cascina Albano estate was founded in the early 1980s by grandfather Marco and his son Natale in the heart of the Langhe on the hills of Barbaresco, and is now run by the third generation. The name originates from the historic Alban vineyard, which translates to kissed by the early morning sun. The family relies on natural and sustainable agriculture focusing on soil fertility, the avoidance of pesticides, and the protection of the surrounding ecosystem. In the cellar, technological interventions are kept to a minimum to preserve the natural characteristics of the grapes through the use of natural yeasts and adherence to lunar phases. The portfolio encompasses various traditional and creative wines from the local denominations that reflect the terroir of Piedmont.

The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Arneis and Barbera. The estate sells to retail.
