The enterprise Casa Santos Lima - Companhia das Vinhas S.A. continues the tradition of a winemaking family whose activities were initiated by Joaquim Santos Lima in the late 19th century. The founder's great-grandson, José Luís Santos Lima Oliveira da Silva, relaunched the company in 1990, modernized the production facilities, and replanted significant portions of the vineyards. Today, the family-owned winery operates across multiple Portuguese regions including Lisbon, Alentejo, Douro, and Vinhos Verdes, offering a diverse portfolio of wines. Approximately 90 percent of the total production is exported to more than 50 countries worldwide.
