About the estate
The Capitoni Marco Azienda Agraria estate is located in Pienza, Tuscany, within the Val d’Orcia region. The foundations of the estate were laid in 1968 when the family acquired the Sedime farm. Today, the winery cultivates six hectares of vineyards featuring grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, and Merlot. The vineyards are tended manually with respect for the environment, complemented by an ongoing organic certification process. In the cellar, vinification involves manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation, and aging in oak barrels as well as terracotta amphorae.
