About the estate
The Azienda Poggio al Vento originates from a historical seventeenth-century farmhouse and was acquired by the Mascelloni family as a family-run farm in 1961. The estate cultivates its vineyards and olive groves according to organic agriculture practices. The wine portfolio features Orcia DOC and Toscana IGT appellations produced from grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Foglia Tonda. Following severe frost damage in the late twentieth century, the estate also developed its olive oil production. The operation supplies professional trade partners with its organic regional products.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.
