About the estate
The Ca' Nova Gualdana estate is located in the Val Tidone in Emilia-Romagna and is run across generations of the family. In 1920, the Gualdana family acquired the property on the hills of Pianello Val Tidone, expanding the vineyard area to nine hectares over the decades. The organically farmed vineyards lie at altitudes between 250 and 340 meters above sea level on diverse clay and limestone soils. Cultivated varieties include the traditional grapes Barbera, Bonarda, Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, and Ortrugo, alongside supplementary Pinot Noir and Chardonnay plantings. In the cellar, the winery relies on natural vinification methods to craft distinctive wines that reflect the territory.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Barbera and Bonarda.
