About the estate
Podere Riosto is located in Pianoro in Emilia-Romagna and has been managed by the Galletti Franceschini family since the 1950s, now operating in its third generation. The estate comprises 14.73 hectares of vineyards on sandy-loam soils at altitudes of up to 350 meters above sea level. The grape variety portfolio includes Pignoletto, Chardonnay, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, alongside the locally discovered historic Vite del Fantini variety. These vineyards yield wines under various appellations, including Colli Bolognesi DOCG and DOC. In addition to winemaking, the property also runs an agritourism business.
The eno directory lists 24 wines, mostly from Pignoletto and Merlot. The estate sells to retail and horeca.
