About the estate
The Domaine Ernest Burn estate cultivates ten hectares of family vineyards in Gueberschwihr, with seventy percent located within the Grand Cru Goldert area. The core of the property is the five-hectare Clos Saint-Imer, a historic vineyard whose restoration was initiated by Ernest Burn starting in 1934. Today, the estate is managed by Francis Burn and his wife Simone, continuing a long family tradition. Viticulture is practiced with respect for the ecosystem, complemented by entirely manual harvesting of fully ripe grapes. The portfolio features wines such as Gewurztraminer, Muscat, Pinot Gris, and Riesling, produced under the AOC Alsace, AOC Alsace Grand Cru, Vendanges Tardives, and Sélection de Grains Nobles denominations.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Silvaner and Muscat. The estate sells to retail.
