About the estate

The Bretz estate is located in Höflein in the Carnuntum wine region and is managed by Jörg Bretz, who gathered practical experience at numerous international stations following his education in Franconia and Geisenheim. The winery consistently produces natural wine intended as a natural companion to food for all situations and moods. Alongside uncomplicated drinking wines, the assortment includes long-aged reserve wines, single-vineyard wines, and producer sparkling wine. Both white and red wines undergo multi-year maturation in large neutral wooden barrels followed by bottle aging. The wines are distributed through selected merchants, specialized wine shops, and gastronomy partners in Austria.

The eno directory lists 22 wines, mostly from Blaufränkisch and Pinot Blanc. The estate sells to horeca and retail. Export markets include Belgium, Germany, Italy and Georgia.
