About the estate

The Lukas Markowitsch estate is managed in the third generation by the brothers in Göttlesbrunn within the Carnuntum wine region. Across a total of 15 hectares of vineyards situated on south-facing slopes, they cultivate key grape varieties such as Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Grüner Veltliner, and Chardonnay. The sustainably farmed vineyards feature diverse soils composed of gravel, limestone, loam, and loess. In the cellar, gentle vinification is carried out with individual maceration and aging periods, with white wines primarily aged in stainless steel tanks and robust red wines matured in large wooden casks or barriques. The wines reflect the characteristic regional origin and are distinguished by finesse and aging potential.

The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Chardonnay. The estate sells to distributors, retail and horeca. Export markets include Germany and Switzerland.
