About the estate
The Borghirolo Vini estate was founded in 2004 by Beat Bachmann in Malcantone, Ticino, after he initially took over an overgrown vineyard. The winery cultivates parcels on various soils and grows grape varieties such as Merlot, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Completer. In the spring of 2008, the winemaker planted the Borghirolo plot with Gewürztraminer vines, being the first to do so in Ticino. The portfolio includes wines under the Ticino DOC protected designation of origin.
