About the estate
The Bodegas Juan Piñero, S.L. winery in Sanlúcar de Barrameda began operations in 1992 by acquiring a century-old cellar in the traditional Barrio Bajo district. The facilities feature typical architectural elements such as a central Andalusian courtyard, high gable roofs, and American oak casks dedicated to wine aging. In the year 2000, the estate expanded by purchasing another cellar on Calle Alcoba along with the solera stocks for the MARUJA brand. The locations in Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Jerez de la Frontera allow for the aging of generous white wines under the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry DO and Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda DO designations. These wines are produced exclusively from the Palomino Fino grape variety.
