About the estate

The Bodegas Alonso estate in Sanlúcar de Barrameda was established following the acquisition of wine assets and facilities from Pedro Romero. The winery owns over 13 hectares of vineyards featuring albariza soils in Jerez Superior, specifically within renowned pagos such as Balbaina and Miraflores. The portfolio centers on traditional solera systems for Manzanilla and exceptionally aged oxidative wines stemming from the historical legacies of Pedro Romero, Gaspar Florido, and Fernando Méndez. The cellar buildings located in the center of Sanlúcar de Barrameda have been dedicated to wine maturation since the mid-nineteenth century.
