The Bio Weingut Hellmich estate manages seven and a half hectares of vineyards in Stadecken-Elsheim in Rheinhessen. Founded in 1960, the winery is run today as a family operation by Uwe and Tim Hellmich. Cultivation is strictly organic, avoiding the use of chemical-synthetic insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers, and weed killers. Biodiversity in the vineyard is actively supported by sowing cover crops for species diversity and collecting rainwater. The portfolio comprises characterful wines divided into various categories, including everyday table wines and top-site selections.
