About the estate
The Baricci estate is situated in the northern part of the Montalcino territory at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level. Founded in 1955 through the acquisition of the Colombaio di Montosoli farm, the winery currently spans twelve hectares, with five hectares dedicated to Sangiovese. The vineyards are located on the Montosoli hill, which is historically renowned as an exceptional cru area for viticulture. In the cellar, vinification utilizes stainless steel tanks and Slavonian oak barrels, strictly following traditional methods for aging. The wines, including Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino, are exported by the family to various European countries, the USA, and Japan.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Sangiovese.
