About the estate
The family-run Azienda Agricola Mirù estate in Ghemme, Italy, manages ten hectares of vineyards across the Novara hills and the Sizzano area. The vineyards are planted exclusively with the local grape varieties Nebbiolo, Vespolina, and Uva Rara, and have been cultivated with minimal environmental impact since 1986. The winemaking family traces its roots back to the sixteenth century. The fluvioglacial, acid-reacting soils impart minerality and freshness to the grapes, forming the basis for red wines such as Ghemme DOCG. Vinification relies on spontaneous fermentation and careful maturation in the historic cellar located in the center of Ghemme.
The eno directory lists 9 wines, mostly from Nebbiolo and Uva Rara.
