About the estate
The Azienda Agricola Il Monticello estate was founded in 1980 when Pier Luigi Neri inherited a property in Liguria in the countryside of Sarzana. Today, the winery encompasses over 14 hectares of vineyards and is managed by brothers Alessandro and Davide Neri, who cultivate grape varieties such as Vermentino, Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Ciliegiolo on steep terraces. The vineyards feature clay-rich soils with a high stone content that require targeted soil management and Guyot pruning. The portfolio includes white, red, and rosé wines from the Colli di Luni DOC denomination, produced with a strong commitment to environmental respect.
