About the estate

The Azamor Boutique Wines estate in Vila Viçosa manages a 260-hectare property in the Alentejo region, which includes 25 hectares of vineyards. Planted in 2001 and 2002 at an altitude of 350 meters, the vineyards feature both native and international grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Syrah, and Petit Verdot. The family's agricultural roots extend back many years, with the current business operations beginning in 1998 and yielding their first wine in 2003. Alongside wine production, the estate includes olive groves, cork oaks, and the breeding of Lusitano horses. For trade visitors, the winery offers guided tastings and property tours by prior appointment.
