About the estate
The Aliestre Vineyards estate is located in the Alentejo region in Portugal, specifically in the city of Estremoz. The venture was founded by Carsten Kullik together with six friends and shareholders after taking over the Quinta da Esperança estate. Across 42 hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates parcels with schist, limestone, and distinctive marble soils that impart a unique freshness and minerality to the wines. The portfolio includes various red, white, and rosé wines produced from regional and classical grape varieties such as Arinto, Antão Vaz, Touriga Nacional, and Alicante Bouschet. Farming the terroir under a moderate Mediterranean climate focuses on crafting precise, fruity wines with a fine earthy depth.
