About the estate

The Alessandria Gianfranco estate is a small family-run winery located in the hills of Monforte d'Alba in Piedmont. The family's winemaking history began with parents Giuseppe and Vittorina, before Gianfranco Alessandria took over in 1986 and shaped the future of the enterprise. Today, the winery farms a vineyard area of seven hectares situated in the Bussia San Giovanni cru. Work in the vineyard is carried out with great care and primarily by hand, focusing on the native grape varieties Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. In the cellar, the estate applies natural principles, controlled fermentation temperatures, and aging in small oak barrels to produce wines with a distinct regional identity.
