About the estate
The Adega Manuel Formigo winery is located in the Ribeiro DO region and builds on a long family tradition in viticulture. In 2006, the project was established with a focus on producing wine exclusively from the family's own vineyards. Spanning approximately six hectares, the estate cultivates numerous indigenous grape varieties, including white varieties such as Treixadura and Godello alongside red varieties like Sousón and Brancellao. The stony granitic soils and the climate of the Avia valley, influenced by both Atlantic and Mediterranean factors, shape the style of the wines. All vineyard and cellar operations follow a philosophy of minimal intervention with complete family oversight from the vine to the glass.
