About the estate
The Zlati grič winery is located in the idyllic wine-growing region of Škalc above Slovenske Konjice within the Štajerska Slovenija denomination. Spanning 70 hectares of vineyards, the estate continues a centuries-old winemaking tradition originally established by Carthusian monks. Due to the continental climate and soil characteristics, white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Welschriesling, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Traminer prevail, accompanied by the red varieties Blaufränkisch and Pinot Noir. Integrated farming combines traditional methods with modern technology to produce wines that balance terroir and vintage character. Part of the wine aging takes place in the historic Charterhouse of Žiče.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Sivi Pinot. The estate sells to horeca.
