About the estate
The Zanchi estate was founded in 1970 by Licurgo Zanchi, who acquired an old farmhouse on the hills of Amelia in Umbria and began restoring the surviving vines. Today, the family is in its third generation of management, cultivating their vineyards and olive groves according to organic farming principles. The winery relies on low yields per hectare, manual harvesting, and low-intervention winemaking conducted entirely on-site from vine to bottle. Their wine range focuses on native grape varieties such as Ciliegiolo, Grechetto, Aleatico, Malvasia, Trebbiano, and Sangiovese.
