About the estate

Located in Stuttgart in Württemberg, the Zaißerei estate is managed in the fifth generation by Andreas Zaiß, whose family has been growing wine there for over 400 years. The vineyards are situated in the Neckar valley and include fifty percent steep slopes such as Cannstatter Zuckerle, where work is carried out exclusively by hand in parcels supported by dry stone walls. On keuper and shell limestone soils, the winery cultivates red grape varieties such as Trollinger, Lemberger, and Pinot Noir, alongside white varieties led by Riesling. In its close-to-nature cultivation, the owner combines proven traditions with new impulses from international viticulture.
