About the estate

Founded in 2016, the Weinmanufaktur Gengenbach-Offenburg eG cooperative unites around 100 winegrower families who jointly cultivate 200 hectares of vineyards. Viticulture in the region looks back on a long tradition documented as far back as the year 888. The vineyards along the slopes of the Black Forest are heavily characterized by primary rock such as gneiss and granite, as well as by variegated sandstone and porphyry. Well-known single-site vineyards include Zeller Abtsberg, Fessenbacher Bergle with Kirchherrenberg, and Ortenberger Freudental. The cooperative vinifies selected varieties true to their origin, with southern exposures providing ideal conditions for velvety red wines while mild climates and sunny days yield fresh Rieslings.

The eno directory lists 22 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail.
