About the estate

The Weingut zur Linde AG estate is located in Linn in the Swiss Schenkenbergertal valley, cultivating vineyards situated directly beneath the over 900-year-old linden tree of Linn. Founded in 1999, the winery produces its wines on loamy Aargauer-Jurakalk limestone soils in south-facing sites such as Sonnhalde, featuring vines planted in 1984 alongside Burgundian clones 115 and RAC 12 added in 2007. Operational practices include yield reduction, clone selection, manual harvesting, and aging in Burgundian barrels such as Seguin Moreau ICÔNE pièces for durations ranging from four to 24 months, as well as in steel tanks. The producer is listed in the Branchenverband Deutschschweizer Wein and the Swiss Wine Promotion national directory. The Pinot Noir Grand Cru is vinified from vines over 40 years old with 24 months of barrel aging in 75 percent new oak.
