About the estate

The Wetzel winery based in Würenlos in German-speaking Switzerland was founded in 1986 with the acquisition of its first leased vineyard. The operating area was continuously expanded in the following years, and in 2007 the farm in Gipf was acquired and converted into a modern operational site with a tasting room. The terraced vineyards are located on slopes dropping steeply toward the Limmat river with deep moraine soils. This location offers ideal conditions for quality viticulture, with the terrain structure favoring sunlight exposure and aroma development.
