About the estate
The Weingut Wageck Pfaffmann GbR estate located in Bissersheim in the Palatinate region is run in the fourth generation by Frank and Thomas Pfaffmann together with their parents. The history of the estate dates back to 1900, with Wilhelm Wageck running the former mixed agricultural operation with his wife starting in 1924. On the calcareous soils around Bissersheim, the winery predominantly cultivates Burgundian varieties as well as grapes for cuvées. Nature-oriented vineyard management, low yields, manual harvesting, and spontaneous fermentation characterize the estate's working methods. Today, the winery is primarily known for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a mineral and elegant character.
