The Volker Schäfer winery is a family-run estate located in Mettenheim in the heart of Rheinhessen, with a winemaking tradition dating back to the 18th century. Guided by ecological convictions, the family manages their vineyards organically and has been certified organic since 2015, as well as being a member of Naturland. A special focus of their work is placed on Pinot varieties, which thrive particularly well in their vineyard sites. The estate premises on the southern outskirts of Mettenheim house the wine storage, office, and a dedicated tasting room for personal visits.
