About the estate

The Peter Greif winery and distillery has its origins in a house whose foundation stone was laid in 1832, with the family's ancestors traced back to 1770. Today, the estate manages ten hectares of vineyards located along the Upper Moselle and Saar rivers. The soils are characterized by slate at the Saar and shell limestone on the slopes of the Moselle. In addition to wines and sparkling wines, the portfolio also includes traditional Viez and classic spirits from the estate's own distillery. Vineyard management follows nature-oriented practices entirely without herbicides, while cellar operations adhere to the principle of minimal intervention in the wines.

The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Elbling and Riesling.
