About the estate

The traditional family-run Weingut Blasius estate in the southern Wonnegau region of Rheinhessen is managed in its third generation. The winery operates strictly according to organic guidelines and places great emphasis on natural cover cropping in the vineyards and the preservation of the local biotope. The climate in the Wonnegau is characterized by low rainfall and many hours of sunshine, resulting in low yields and high grape quality. In the cellar, white wines are matured in stainless steel tanks, while red wines age in traditional wooden casks located in cellars walled with limestone.
