About the estate
The Uli Metzger estate cultivates calcareous soils and vineyards in the Northern Palatinate around Asselheim, Mühlheim and Bockenheim. The family-run winery focuses on Burgundy varieties and Riesling in both the vineyard and the cellar. The artisanal approach includes selective hand harvesting, gentle processing and maturation in large wooden barrels, barriques and stainless steel tanks. Consistently dry wines are classified into estate, village and single-vineyard wines to reflect the origin of the Palatinate region.
