About the estate
The Südhang estate is located in the Lucerne Seetal valley in Eschenbach and is historically rooted in the Rutzigen farm, which was first mentioned in 1256. The winery cultivates 3.5 hectares of vineyards in sunny locations, growing grape varieties such as Kerner, Muscat Oliver, Sauvignon blanc, Birstaler Muskat, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Solaris, Johanniter, Souvignier gris, Muscat bleu, and Cabernet Dorsa. The first estate-produced wine was presented in 2011. The wines are crafted through careful vineyard management and refined into fruity regional specialties.
The eno directory lists 17 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
