About the estate
The Roman Herzog winery cultivates vineyards in the steep locations of Minheim and on south-facing slip-off slopes extending down to the riverbanks of the Moselle. The southwest-facing slate soils provide optimal ripening conditions for Riesling, while Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, and Pinot Noir thrive on light terrace gravel and sandy sites. The estate is organically certified and a member of Ecovin. All wines undergo spontaneous fermentation and are produced vegan without the use of pesticides, herbicides, genetic engineering, or chemical-synthetic agents.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Riesling and Müller-Thurgau.
