About the estate
The Mönchberger Hof estate is managed by the Josten family in Mayschoß in the Ahr region. The winery cultivates steep slopes and terraced vineyards where French Ouessant sheep are used for natural vineyard management to control grasses and herbs and assist with canopy maintenance. The estate is currently preparing for the transition to organic viticulture and plans to release its first certified organic wines starting with the 2026 vintage. All wines are bottled directly at the estate.
