About the estate
The Kuhnle estate manages approximately 25 hectares of vineyards in steep locations around Strümpfelbach in the Württemberg wine region, with about sixty percent dedicated to red grape varieties. Cultivated varieties include Riesling, Chardonnay, Trollinger, and Lemberger, among others. The Kuhnle family is deeply rooted in local winemaking tradition and looks back on a long history. Vineyard management focuses on low yields achieved through short winter pruning and targeted thinning during the vegetation period. In the cellar, the wines undergo careful vinification, with white varieties predominantly fermented in stainless steel tanks and powerful red wines aged as single-varietal wines in barrique barrels following mash fermentation.
