About the estate

The Johann August Sack estate in Lauda-Königshofen, Baden, is run by the family in the fifth generation and looks back on a history dating back to the 1920s. Covering seven hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates plots in various locations of the Tauber Valley, such as the Lauda Altenberg and the Oberlauda Steinklinge. The vines grow on weathered shell limestone soils within a historically grown cultural landscape featuring dry-stone walls and stone ridges. In harmony with nature, the estate produces authentic wines that reflect the character of the regional terroir.

The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Bacchus and Müller-Thurgau. The estate sells to retail.
