About the estate

The Weingut Hundemer estate cultivates twelve hectares of vineyards in Hainfeld in the Palatinate region, featuring diverse soil structures such as limestone marl, variegated sandstone, slate, and loess-loam. Managed for thirty years by master winemaker Ralf Hundemer with the support of his family, the winery focuses on dry wines. White wines are crafted to be fruity, while red wines are often aged in barrique barrels. The close-to-nature vineyard management emphasizes manual labor, low yields, and selective hand-harvesting. In the cellar, grapes are processed gently with temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, complemented by maturation in wooden or barrique casks.
