About the estate
The Gunther Matheus winery cultivates steep slopes in Piesport along the Moselle, relying on the natural conditions of the landscape and the preservation of living soils. Daily work in the vineyard includes minimal use of fertilizers and crop protection as well as yield reduction through green harvesting. In the cellar, the grapes are processed gently with minimal movement and controlled fermentation.
