About the estate

The Eppelmann winery, based in Stadecken-Elsheim in Rheinhessen, traces its history back to 1954. Spanning 25 hectares of vineyards, the family-run estate cultivates sites in the limestone-influenced lower Selztal valley. Alongside Riesling, the focus lies heavily on Burgundian grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris. The estate has farmed organically since 2018 and joined the Naturland organic association in 2021. In addition to still wines, the producer is dedicated to crafting sparkling wine from estate-grown grapes using the traditional method.

The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
