About the estate

The Claes Schmitt Erben estate cultivates steeply sloped vineyards along the Mosel, including the renowned sites Trittenheimer Altärchen, Neumagener Rosengärtchen, and Trittenheimer Apotheke. Riesling stands at the center of the portfolio, complemented by classic grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, and Rivaner. Following a harvest that is kept as late and selective as possible, the grapes are processed gently and fermented slowly in wooden barrels or stainless steel tanks. In addition to estate, village, and single-vineyard wines, the winery's offerings include Prädikat wines, traditional sparkling wine, and Crémant.
