About the estate
The Bielerhaus winery in Ligerz is managed by Beat Burkhardt and cultivates three hectares of vineyards in a prime location on Lake Biel. The origin of the monastic vineyard dates historically back to 1235 when the Engelberg Benedictine Monastery was already the owner. On this area, the estate produces wines of high quality under the designations of origin AOC Bern and AOC Bielersee. The portfolio includes various grape varieties such as Chasselas and Pinot Noir. Distribution takes place directly from the estate.
The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Chasselas.
