About the estate

The Weinbaugenossenschaft Klingnau is located in the lower Aare valley and looks back on a long viticultural tradition with origins tracing back to historical monasteries and the city's founders. Following the destruction of the local vineyards by phylloxera, the cooperative was established on November 22, 1922, to drive the replanting of vineyards and the acquisition of resistant vines. Over the following decades, the cooperative grew steadily and eventually established its own vinification and direct sales. Today, the estate cultivates grape varieties such as Räuschling, Riesling Silvaner, and Blauburgunder on the slopes of the Achenberg. The production volume has continuously increased over the years.

The eno directory lists 9 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Müller-Thurgau.
